Women need opportunities that reflect their goals, available time and local economic conditions. Useful training may look different from one community to another, so programmes should begin by listening to the women they intend to serve.

Nari Shakti aims to support women through locally relevant skill development, vocational learning, entrepreneurship awareness, financial literacy and leadership activities. Depending on community needs and available partners, the campaign may also encourage self-help initiatives and connections to suitable livelihood opportunities.

The purpose is to help participants build skills they can use and confidence in the choices available to them. When a programme is launched, the Foundation can describe what the training covers, who can participate, how long it lasts and whether any materials or follow-up support are available.

When women can choose, learn and lead, communities gain strength.
