Having a phone or an internet connection does not always mean someone can use digital services with confidence. Students may struggle to find reliable learning material; adults may be unfamiliar with online forms; and first-time users may need help recognising unsafe links or requests for personal information.
Digital Himachal aims to offer practical, accessible digital-learning sessions for rural students, women and young people. Possible topics include basic device and computer use, finding educational resources, completing common online tasks, using digital tools for careers and understanding basic online safety.
The campaign should teach skills through guided practice, using examples that matter to participants. Schools, community spaces, trainers and volunteers could help host sessions. Once programmes begin, the Foundation can publish the location, topics taught and resources participants can continue using.
Digital confidence grows when people can practise what they learn.
