Floods, landslides, fires and other emergencies can disrupt homes, essential supplies and livelihoods. The most useful response depends on what affected people actually need and what local authorities and relief organisations are already providing.
Aapda Sahayata is NPF Navprerak Foundation’s proposed framework for responding to verified needs. Where it has the capacity and appropriate coordination in place, the Foundation may help mobilise essential supplies, hygiene materials, community support or suitable recovery assistance.
For each active response, the campaign page should state the location, verified needs, type of assistance requested, delivery partners and dated progress updates. This allows people who want to help to understand the specific situation and prevents a general campaign description from being mistaken for an active emergency appeal.
In a crisis, clear information and coordinated action help support reach people who need it.
